Hey ya’ll! I’m Jessica Olsen – owner of Wildrose Bridal & Beauty, event styling expert, and specialty makeup artist. Throughout my 10+ (and counting) years of licensed, professional experience, I have had the amazing opportunity to follow my passion, build a thriving career, and create a community of some pretty incredible humans.

I was born and raised in the small town of Gardnerville, Nevada – nestled right at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains, and just a hop skip and a jump away (30 minutes to be exact) from the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Throughout my childhood and young adult life – when I wasn’t out laying on the beach, playing sports, or exploring the mountainside for hidden views and treasures – all I wanted to do was play with hair and makeup. The fact that my mom was also a cosmetologist made it easy to adopt the salon as my second home. (You could almost say the beauty industry was written into my DNA)

I would give “makeovers” to anyone that would let me – from babysitters to friends, and (even on occasion) the family pup. Before I knew it I was volunteering to do everyone’s hair and makeup for school dances, braiding the volleyball team’s hair before each game, and spending days in the salon trying to soak up all of the information I could.

Fast forward to today, and I am so fortunate that the same childhood obsession has turned into a career that I absolutely adore – a career that also affords me the ability to be so present in my personal time. Now, I have the sweetest son that I get to take to lay on the beach, i get to cheer him on in sports (and even be his coach), and we get to go on all of the adventures with our two pups. I get to spend my work days either in the salon with my amazing clients (who feel more like some of my best friends), or going on adventures to meet beautiful souls and help them feel their best on some of the most special days of their lives.

Over the course of these adventures, and being a part of doing hair and makeup for over 200 weddings – I finally took the leap and created Wildrose Bridal and Beauty, a personal business dedicated to hearing our clients’ vision and helping them to feel like the most beautiful version of themselves on their most important days.

Now here we are – I can’t wait to meet you and begin our friendship.
